IMPORTANT NOTICES!!!!!!!

I'm Professor Gooch, your instructor for Judicial Politics, POLS 4983. I hope you will find this class to be a rewarding experience as we work through the process, institutional context, and strategic decision-making of judges and justices as well as the policy and nomination politics of the court system. This class is an excellent prep for aspiring lawyers as well as judicial scholars. I want you to feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you have about the class 24/7. In order to do well in this class you MUST do the readings before class. Your grade is HIGHLY dependent upon your understanding of the cases and legal issues we will consider and your ability to articulate that understanding in our class discussions. You should spend at least 3 HOURS on the readings outside of class for every 1 HOUR of \ classtime. Good Luck!
