I'm Professor Gooch, your instructor for American Government POLSC 2003. I hope you alll will find this class to be a rewarding experience as we work our way through the various aspects, institutions, and theories of American Government. I want you to feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you have about the class 24/7. There are two major components to the instructional material for the class: 1) Lecture Notes 2) the Kernell & Jacobsen book These will be intergal for taking and, of course, passing the exams. The course materials will also be made available as they are needed throughout the semester on Blackboard. Duplicates of the material and the class page can be found at my website: www.donaldgooch.com. Just scroll to "Current Classes" and click on the link for this class. I will be making annoucements and sending e-mails using the blackboard interface and the website. The discussion board feature on the website (more in a seperate annoucement) is required (your weekly participation) and will also be important in the learning process. Make good use of it for questions, comments, and debate on the issues we cover. Good luck!
